Immigration to Paraguay - Documents
In order to request residence - Permanent
admission in Paraguay, the interested party must be in Paraguay.
We advise you to consider a minimum stay of 14 days In order to
obtain Permanent Residence in Paraguay you will need the following
documents:
1. Photocopy of Passport that must be valid for at least 6 months
prior to presenting the documents in Paraguay
2. Police or court records from the applicant's country of origin;
3. Birth certificate;
4. Civil state certificate (marriage, divorce, separation, widowhood);
5. Consular tourist visa for the countries that require it;
6. Latest school report of the children;
7. The medical certificate will be undertaken whilst in Paraguay!
The dates on the documents must not extend over 3 months from the day of their presentation in Paraguay!
Besides, you will have to prove your economic solvency through a bank account in Paraguay with a minimum of us$ 5,000 per person. You will be able to dispose of this money once you have received your Foreigners Emigration ID . You will not need the above proof of solvency if you own a property in Paraguay. In order to open a bank account in Paraguay you will be asked to present a reference letter from your bank.
All the documents (originals) must be sent to a Paraguayan Consulate, requesting they legalize them.
